The Sibling Foundation (SF) was created to support the disabled community and their families. We provide holistic support to special needs families by providing educational, emotional, and material resources. Founded in 2024, we want to build this organization and create a community. SF is looking to host support group meetings (in-person & online), share stories and educational articles about the disabled community, and provide helpful resources and recommendations. SF puts an emphasis on the siblings of individuals with special needs because they are seldom recognized in the conversation about families with disabled individuals. Siblings often serve as the current or future caretakers of individuals with disabilities. As result, they need there own dialogue on what support they need to help care for themselves and their loved ones. SF hopes to spread awareness on the joys and trials of the disabled community and influence necessary change that will improve their quality of life.

Joy Mugaju
“At our foundation, we know firsthand the joys & challenges of having siblings with special needs. We hope to create a platform that allows us siblings to connect and support each other because it really does take a village to raise any child, especially a child who needs extra support.”
